One way to be sure they will be covered is to provide your employees with disability insurance. Many of our carriers offer a strong return to work incentives so that your employees, if possible, are encouraged to return to work as quickly as possible, even if on a part-time basis at first. There are two types of disability insurance, short-term and long-term. Short-term generally provides coverage for 6 months while long-term insurance will continue when the short-term coverage leaves off. We work with a number of short and long term disability carriers.
