Insurance Producer

• QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 3 years of consultative commercial insurance sales experience
  • Demonstrated success in developing new business and maintaining an existing book of business
  • Articulate, compelling, and creative in verbal communication
  • Self-motivated and disciplined with the ability to work independently with limited supervision or within a group team environment
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Possess a genuine willingness to learn, be intuitive and resourceful
  • Property and Casualty license required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
     

  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prospecting for new customers through networking within the community, seeking referrals from existing clientele, and partnering with community leaders and organizations to identify new business opportunities
  • Establish and maintain a thorough understanding of core coverage lines, risk management solutions, and insurance products
  • Articulate the agency's value proposition in a manner that bridges the agency's capabilities and approach to the prospects risks and needs
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of clients business needs and leverage the agency's carrier network to meet these needs
  • Proactively engage existing clients to anticipate and plan for their future needs
  • Build and influence relationships with carriers to translate their solutions relative to clients' needs
  • Actively remain up-to-date on industry and market trends that impact prospects and clients
  • With the support of the Marketing Department, develop proposals, contracts, and renewal agreements
